Managing the Meeting Monsters – Webinar

December 3, 2020 - online

In ordinary times, meetings can run the gamut from dismal to invigorating. In this time of economic upheaval and physical distancing, many of our “normal” practices for productive meetings are disrupted. We miss sitting together in a comfy meeting room with shared snacks or reading each other’s body language to help us reach agreement. This is fertile ground for the meeting monsters to emerge!

In our work with organizations, we find a variety of monsters that can derail a meeting. For example:

  • People talking over each other.
  • A few voices dominating the meeting.
  • Lack of clear agenda and clear outcomes.

Any of those sound familiar?

In this webinar, we will focus on a few of the most common monsters and how to manage them.

Through interactive discussions, skill-sharing, and group breakouts, the session will show different ways to manage those monsters and make room for the jewels in the meeting to emerge. The ideas will apply to both virtual and in-person meetings, and some of them may surprise you.
