Sociocracy — Include Everyone’s Voice and Be Efficient @ San Francisco, CA - 2017 California Co-op Conference
Apr 28 @ 2:45 pm – 4:15 pm

TSCG founding member Sheella Mierson leads this introductory workshop at the 2017 California Co-op Conference in San Francisco.

This session is an introduction to Sociocracy (also known as dynamic governance), a method of decision-making and governance where people at all organizational levels make policy decisions that govern their own work, and communication flows bottom-up as well as top-down. Cooperatives in several countries use sociocracy, which fits well with the Rochdale Principles. Come learn how this groundbreaking new way to run organizations and meetings can help you have more effective, enjoyable meetings; free up individual creativity and initiative; and streamline decision-making. This experiential session will introduce you to the principles of sociocracy, and give hands-on practice with consent decision-making.
